Rangiku is the busty Lieutenant of Soul Society's 10th Division, known just as much for her slacking and love of sake as she is for two of her more prominent physical assets. Growing up in the slums of the afterlife, Rangiku spent her childhood years with another orphan - Ichimaru Gin - before the later left, and she some time later to enter the Shinigami Academy. She has held her current position as Lieutenant for some time now (most say a century or two) and is very loyal to her favorite Captain. With Aizen's betrayal not too long ago, things were finally starting to quiet down as Soul Society recovered...that is, until, the first traces of new Arrancar began to surface. Rangiku disappeared in the chaos.

Ran is very friendly and rather cheerful, but can buckle down and get serious when she needs to. She is far from modest and has no problem joking about herself or others, and still is a good person to confide in when you need someone to lend an ear, shoulder, or chest to cry on. While she has a reputation for slacking, Rangiku somehow tends to get her work ~~mostly~~ done on time, though things tend to slip her mind. She has a love for drinking herself stupid and sharing the love of such activities with others. Loyal, can lead and follow, and uninhibited, intoxicated or not. When she has a tendency to brood, it is only when she is by herself.
